The only thing worth understanding is that a fixture you bought carries its own manufacturer warranty with the retailer rather than with us — our warranty covers the installation. We will also tell you before starting if a chosen fixture will not suit the existing connections, which occasionally happens with imported or unusual models.
Most single fixtures are one to two hours. Toilets and faucets are usually at the short end; a disposal takes a little longer because of the electrical connection and the drain assembly. Larger work such as a bathroom remodel or a repipe is quoted with a schedule rather than an hourly estimate.
It means replacing the supply pipework through the house rather than patching individual runs. It becomes the sensible option when you have galvanised steel that has corroded internally, or when you have had leaks in several different places — because at that point the rest of the pipe is the same age and in the same condition, and each repair is buying a few months.
